Why Will Entertainment Not Be More "Lucrative" Than Education??
- When more attention is given to entertainment than education.
- When people see/regard educative posts as nothing but divert all their minds on entertainment.
- When educative programmes are been organised in schools (esp in Tertiary institutions) and the turn up was low but students can put all they have to get ticket for a 10 minutes show and the population will be high.
- When support are not given to the young technology inventors we have in this country.
- When the winner of either National, State, or Local Government debate/quiz/presentation can't go home with a million naira but the winner of one stupid entertainment show will be going away with nothing less than 10 million naira.
- When a student was asked, "What did you gained from the speech the man delivered?" and the reply was "I don't even know what to say (in the sense that "I don't want to know what he said)" but when asked, "How did you see that show, in just one word" and the reply will be like that of an epistle or as if they reading from the national dailies.
Afterwards, we come out here and say education is nothing to write home about in my country. Why wouldn't it be so when the things ought to be done are been neglected?.
We will not get it right until we do the needful.
