"Pain" A poem by Zainab Ajisafe

PAIN

Have you ever felt down,
Like your whole world is coming to an end right before your eyes,
Have you ever felt so much pain you thought it'd never go.

Have you ever felt so down and so betrayed,
So sad,
Yet there's no cure to this feeling,
This feeling is suicidal,
It begs to be felt,
Tears every now and then.

Thoughts that made you think,
That made you think why,
That why did you trust so much,
That why did you love so much,
That why did you get close so much,
That why did you create unforgettable memories.


This feeling is PAIN,
PAIN!!!
It leaves you shattered,
Most times the pain is not the problem,
The pain is there to show there's a problem,
Pain demands to be felt..........
Sometimes mild.......
Sometimes severe.....

PAIN
The only solution is to live with it
You shouldn't let it control you,
You shouldn't let it get to you,
Not all pains have a cure,
The best cure is to neglect it,
To show it, it has nothing on you,
Live your life,
Love yourself,
Whatever happens,
Life goes on...
Live each day like it's your last!
And no kind of pain can destroy that inhibition you've got!
