EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Can we meet you?
ADEDAM: Yea, am Adekunle Damilola popularly known as Adedam, a student of Federal university akure. Am an Artist, a rapper/singer, CEO of Makesensequote, futasemsmedia, and co founder of YBRMUSIC.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: How did you come about music, rap in particular?
ADEDAM: To me it's just about discovering yourself in what you good at. When the talent start growing up in me, my mentality changed, my mode of thinking that bring rhymes together develop bigger too; and all I need was orientation to set it right.. Zoom here I am doing it.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: When did you start rapping?
ADEDAM: Lol, like when I was in Junior secondary school - 7 years back then, but I made it official last year January, 2017, when I see the maturity of my rap.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: What was your parent reaction when you started?
ADEDAM: No be person who sabi about my music go get reaction? I intended to keep it away from them for now. May be after a little achievement, I will tell them, but 60% of my family, My mom sis, bro, my bro and sis thumb up for it.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: How many singles have you released and the titles?
ADEDAM: Quite a number. 10 including the ones I was featured. The titles are: Make sense, Ayanfe, Question(skit), Naked fact, Okiki, One day, Rap intro, Fame Alert, and so on.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Great one. What/Who inspires you to rap?
ADEDAM: Olamide baddo
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Who are your role models in the music industry?
ADEDAM: Olamide, MI, Lilwayne, Drake, Adele.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: If you are to be signed into any record label, which label will that be?
ADEDAM A lot of people won't want to believe this, but the fact about me is that I believe in my own little label - YBRmusic. In anyway, if I have the chance to meet the big record label, I will let YBNL to manage me, but that doesn't mean am totally out of YBR (that's where you can get the energy from) YBNL is real.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Which of the Nigerian famous artistes would you like to feature?
ADEDAM: Olamide, MI, Brymo, reekado and Eva
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: How have you been coping, combining school with music?
ADEDAM: Not been easy trying to make the fame worldwide and schooling as well. Sometimes I skip class for studio, time to read at night, attend shows and the likes; but as a sharp guy am still balancing it both. I value education and my music. I pray I survive it with God on my side.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Are you into any relationship?
ADEDAM: Am not really into relationship for now. Tho I heard relationship is cheap these days, but it still difficult for me to relate. Am not that kinda guy that Fams all changing girls like cloth. I have better things to do than that as I don't want anyhow girls in my life. Am taking my time to find the one I love, the one I can share my dreams with. 90% of nowadays girls are like bet9ja match, one single misunderstanding can damage everything.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Any song your fans should anticipate from you?
ADEDAM: Yea, am working on a big project. Am coming with some singles and a music video soon. This year is my year.
EMPIRE MEDIA NG: Where do you see your self in 5 years time in the music industry?
ADEDAM Big!!!!!! Like beyond the way I hallucinate it, with God and talent; including few people around me.
