[ARTICLE] SAINTS ARE HUMAN BEING, THEY HAVE BLOOD RUNNING IN THEIR VEINS By Tijani Taofeek Bamidele

SAINTS ARE HUMAN BEING, THEY HAVE BLOOD RUNNING IN THEIR VEINS

"Ask a layman about saint, and they will describe an Angel for you" - Tijani 2018

Not Only a layman would fall into same misconception, so also are many people with menial knowledge about who saints are. I have heard and seen people's reactions, their talks and verdicts concerning the ways and says of these saints. Yes, etymologically, saints could be likened to Angels. I mean, the earlier saints. Yet, despite that they are the ones who are most close to perfection for they are trained and well principled with the ways of the prophets. Most of these saints I am talking about here lived with scholars and prophets and one should believe that they should be the best of mankind, most chaste, errorless and perfect. However, they are not. Among the earlier saints, in christendom are the apostles and in Islam, are the Salafis.
Anyone who is religious would place no doubt that these people are always being corrected in ceaseless number of times by their prophets. I could remember a case of a Sahaba of Prophet Mohammad, who came praying in the mosque and whose prayer had to be corrected several times, despite that he use to see the Prophet of Allah performing that prayer actually several times. Imagine, we, that never saw any of those who saw the Sahaba praying talkless of the Prophet.

Today, when "saint" is heard, what rings in our minds is "perfection". But is that really the real thing? NO! Saints are not 100% perfect. No one was perfect, no one is perfect and no one will ever be, not even the Prophets. Perhaps, anyone who holds this belief has actually forgotten that they are human being. Yes, they are. They have blood running in their veins. They breathe in the same air as other human being. They live in this corrupt system and environment with us. Yet, they still can blend to be better. They are Only trying to be as holy as possible, to be clean and Godly and nothing more. So, if they should fall into any heresies, tagging or poking them is not the next nor the best. Let us at least, at times, praise the sacrifice they have made to clean their selves, their minds and souls despite of their environment. Anyone who has been in their shoes will understand better. Just imagine when someone have to make a choice and have to do it at the expense of its own will; when one really needs something badly and have to deny oneself. You do not seem to understand? At times, they are like a prisoner who is restricted to so many things. Yet, when they mistakenly cross that path of choice, their past deeds, I mean good ones will be nullified and thence, we will see them as pretenders, liars and ungodly Angels. It really hurts and pains. In this life, we see it as a normal thing for a matured girl to have a boy friend or boy lover. And when she does, we believe it is because she is matured and she can handle her feelings. Especially when they step up to have sex in their relationship, we will never see anything bad in it. We will believe she is ripe enough for it. But just imagine if a sister mistakenly hug a guy out of emotion, she will eventually make the headline and talk of the town. So pathetic! No wonder Jesus said, "let he without sin be the first to cast the stone", and they all fled.

Someone said that that is the path they have chosen when they are sure they can live by it? Yes, they chose that path. But what about their decision colliding with nature's choice? What about the boat being sunk in the sea due to the unfavorable weather and turbulence? I think not everyone knows this.

We really need to stop condemning the saints especially when their choices go wrong. I am not saying the saints should be as corrupt as anything, but that they are not perfect. Do not see them as Angels: They have feelings, they are always emotional too, they are always hungry, they can feel pain and they deserves fun too. I am not saying that saints should go astray by following the evil or bad choices nature makes, but that when they find it difficult to make their stand in the choice market when they come in collision with the nature, they should not just be criticized destructively without being constructive.

Saints are human being!
